Senior Program Officer

Job Summary

Leading the U.S. Department of State-funded Youth Ambassadors - Western Hemisphere program, the full-time salaried Senior Program Officer will manage program design and delivery, oversee budget and compliance, and supervise program staff, with the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the overall lead for the YA-WHA award, ensuring program quality, deliverables, and compliance with Department of State requirements
• Design and deliver the full YA-WHA program cycle, including virtual engagement and community segments, while managing relationships with U.S. embassies and partners
• Oversee budget management and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to grant requirements and effective tracking of expenditures

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
• At least six years of related work experience is required
• Demonstrated experience managing U.S. Government-funded grants, including budget oversight and compliance
• Experience organizing logistics for international travel and events, ideally for youth participants
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online project management tools is required
