Senior Project Manager
Job Summary
Leading a multi-year program for a state government client, the full-time Senior Project Manager will manage project delivery, financial oversight, and client communications while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating day-to-day activities and executive status reviews
- Advise clients on project trade-offs and priorities while managing risks, issues, and dependencies
- Oversee budgets, change orders, and monthly invoicing, ensuring financial accountability across contracts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years of experience managing custom software delivery, with at least 5 years on state government programs
- Experience with contract and financial management, including public-sector procurement
- Fluency in agile, predictive, and hybrid delivery methodologies; PMP or agile certifications are desirable
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, and Smartsheet
