Job Summary
Supporting key business strategies, the full-time Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter will analyze commercial lines accounts, mentor less experienced underwriters, and collaborate with agency personnel to drive profitable growth in a hybrid work environment based in Dallas, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze commercial lines accounts to make informed underwriting decisions based on risk characteristics and exposure analysis
- Price business according to underwriting guidelines while maintaining strong relationships with producers
- Educate agency staff on company products and underwriting philosophy, serving as a resource for complex issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of commercial insurance experience required
- Advanced knowledge of insurance principles, regulations, and commercial lines underwriting
- Strong sales and marketing skills with the ability to qualify opportunities and close deals
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
