Senior Psychometrics Analyst

Job Summary

To strengthen the evidence base behind assessments and learning content for young children, the full-time Senior Efficacy Research and Psychometrics Analyst will lead psychometric research partnerships, manage data analytics and reporting, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead psychometric research partnerships, including study design, data sharing, and interpretation of findings
• Own the KPI dashboard for Khan Academy Kids and prepare recurring performance reports for various teams
• Coordinate efficacy research participation and align internal and external stakeholders on research approaches

Required qualifications

• An advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in psychometrics, educational measurement, quantitative methods, or a related field
• Strong grounding in psychometric methods, including item analysis and Item Response Theory (IRT)
• Proficiency in SQL and a statistical programming language (e.g., R or Python)
• Familiarity with responsible data-sharing practices in education research
• Strong project-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple external partners and deliverables
