Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Python DevOps Engineer for a remote contract position, who will own end-to-end development of back-end services and automation, focusing on Python back-end development with FastAPI, CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitLab, and containerized deployment to Kubernetes and serverless platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production Python services and APIs using FastAPI
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitLab with automated testing and security scanning
- Mentor other developers and set team standards for coding, testing, and documentation
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of professional Python development experience, including production back-end services
- Strong knowledge of FastAPI, async Python, and REST API design
- Experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and kubectl
- Experience with automated testing using pytest
