Senior Python Engineer
Job Summary
To support critical integrations across the product, the remote contract Senior Python Engineer will take full ownership of backend features, design and maintain scalable services, and build integrations with external systems such as KYC and payment partners.
Key responsibilities
- Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation and production support
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django
- Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
Required qualifications
- At least 5+ years of development experience with Python as the primary language
- Proven experience integrating third-party APIs, with a strong understanding of webhooks and failure handling
- Experience with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency
- Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions
