Senior Python Engineer
Job Summary
To support critical integrations across the product, the remote contract Senior Python Engineer will take ownership of backend features, develop scalable services using Python and Django, and maintain integrations with KYC, geolocation, and payment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and integrations with external systems
- Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations
Required Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of development experience with Python and strong experience in API and system integrations
- Proven experience integrating third-party APIs, with a deep understanding of webhooks, callbacks, and failure handling
- Experience with observability tools for monitoring and troubleshooting production integrations
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
