Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain production backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI
- Implement retrieval workflows, including RAG, embeddings, and vector search
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to make informed technical trade-offs
Required qualifications
- 4-8 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly with AI/ML systems
- Exceptional command of Python and FastAPI, with experience in production API work backed by PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in Docker for development and deployment use cases
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including version control, CI/CD, and debugging
- Experience with retrieval workflows and embedding-based search is preferred
