Senior QA Data Engineer

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and creative thinkers will find a fully remote opportunity as a Senior QA Data Engineer, responsible for establishing automated data quality checks, ensuring the trustworthiness of customer data, and collaborating with engineering teams to identify data issues before production.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain an automated data quality suite that integrates with data refreshes through Airflow
• Define checks as code and manage them through version control and CI, ensuring new pipelines have coverage by default
• Validate data loads for completeness and schema, and produce data quality reports that gate promotion to downstream consumers

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in quality assurance with a focus on backend automated testing
• Hands-on experience building automated data tests with frameworks like Soda or dbt
• Strong SQL skills with familiarity in Python and experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Solid understanding of testing principles applied to data pipelines, including functional and regression testing
• Experience with Databricks or a similar lakehouse environment is a plus
