Senior Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on hands-on integration testing and automation, the full-time Senior Quality Engineer will ensure reliable payment journeys across Shopware and external systems while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver risk-based coverage by collaborating with Product and Engineering to identify critical journeys and testing scopes
• Build and maintain automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright to validate behavior across various interfaces
• Communicate clear QA recommendations, explaining tested scopes, results, and risks to Product and Engineering teams

Required qualifications

• Experience delivering and maintaining automated tests for production software, including API/integration and end-to-end testing
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript with practical experience in Playwright or a comparable framework
• Familiarity with CI pipelines, Git, and debugging using logs and application code
• Understanding of HTTP APIs, authentication, and asynchronous processing, including testing failure and retry behavior
• Ability to turn uncertain product requirements into testable scenarios and prioritize by risk
