Job Summary
Focusing on strategic direction for the Business Owner's Policy portfolio, the full-time Senior R&D Analyst will contribute to underwriting analytics, conduct 3rd party data research, and develop actuarial-based models, with remote work allowed and occasional travel to headquarters for team events.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and manage the Business Owner's Policy portfolio to enhance underwriting segmentation
- Conduct research and recommend innovative ideas to improve product offerings
- Develop and implement statistical models using various database tools to manipulate large data sets
Required qualifications
- Minimum of six years of relevant experience in statistical/quantitative modeling within property & casualty insurance
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with at least three years of analytical work experience, or a Master's/PhD in a quantitative field
- Experience in product, pricing, or actuarial roles
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL or related statistical programming languages (SAS, R, or Python)
- Experience creating or modifying predictive data models using statistical or data mining methods
