Senior Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Providing high-quality customer service, the full-time Senior Reimbursement Specialist will conduct benefit investigations, verify insurance benefits, and assist patients and medical providers in expediting reimbursement processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct benefit investigations and verify insurance benefits for patients and physicians, submitting prior authorizations as needed
• Accurately enter and maintain data in client databases, ensuring completeness for case status determination
• Coordinate product orders, therapy initiation, and participate in call center activities, responding to inquiries from various stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• 4 - 6 years of experience in the insurance, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries, with a focus on customer service and reimbursement
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; database experience is a plus
• Knowledge of third-party billing, coding, medical terminology, prior authorizations, and appeals preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
