Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Research Scientist, US, to drive the computational discovery and optimization of next-generation magnet materials, focusing on high-performance permanent magnets while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and analyze DFT and multi-scale simulations to predict properties of Fe- and Co-based intermetallic systems
• Develop computational workflows and ML models for high-throughput screening of rare-earth-lean and rare-earth-free magnet candidates
• Collaborate with experimental partners to validate predictions and contribute to the Design-Build-Test-Learn feedback loop

Required Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience in Solid-state Physics, Quantum Chemistry applied to Materials Science, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with DFT or atomistic simulation
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern scientific-computing practices
• Experience applying machine learning or high-throughput methods to materials problems
• Ability to collaborate with experimental or cross-functional teams for validation of predictions
