Senior Risk Analyst

Job Summary

Serving as the escalation point for complex and high-impact risk cases, the full-time Senior Risk Analyst in Payments Risk Operations will manage escalations involving high-dollar losses and suspected fraud, utilizing AI tools to enhance investigations and improve risk workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own escalations from Payments Risk Operations, making final decisions on high-profile accounts and suspected fraud cases
• Lead responses to emerging fraud patterns, conducting root cause analysis and remediation efforts
• Drive performance measurement of rules and models in collaboration with Risk Modeling and Analytics, ensuring controls minimize losses

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in payments risk, fraud operations, or fraud investigations, with authority to make complex case decisions
• Deep understanding of ACH, cards, wires, and crypto payment systems, with a proven record of enhancing risk controls
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with blockchain analytics tools for tracing funds
• Experience in reviewing analyst decisions for quality and adherence to SOPs, with the ability to communicate complex risk decisions effectively
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality
