Senior Risk Analyst

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Risk Analyst on the Payments Risk Operations team, the successful candidate will manage complex risk cases, drive improvements in risk workflows and controls, and utilize AI tools to enhance investigations in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Own escalations from Payments Risk Operations, making final decisions on high-dollar losses and suspected fraud cases
• Lead responses to emerging fraud patterns, conducting root cause analysis and remediation efforts
• Drive performance measurement of rules and models in collaboration with Risk Modeling and Analytics teams

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in payments risk, fraud operations, or fraud investigations with decision-making authority
• Deep understanding of ACH, cards, wires, and crypto payment rails, along with a proven track record in improving risk controls
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with blockchain analytics tools for tracing funds
• Experience in reviewing analyst decisions for quality and adherence to SOPs, with strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining oversight to enhance workflow efficiency and quality
