Job Summary
Working remotely in a permanent capacity, the Senior RPG Analyst Programmer will lead the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of essential IBM i applications, collaborating with clients to deliver effective solutions while ensuring system reliability and modern technology integration.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to resolve application issues and deliver solutions throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyze, design, program, and test applications using RPG and SQL across various versions
- Ensure application integrity through unit, integration, and validation testing, while documenting system architecture clearly
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience with the IBM i platform (iSeries / AS/400) and a strong understanding of business operations
- Advanced expertise in RPG, particularly RPGLE, including free-form syntax and integrated SQL
- Proficient in DB2 application programming and database design
- Solid understanding of modern ILE technologies, including modules and binding directories
- Experience with structured deployment and version management processes
