Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior RPG Programmer Analyst will lead the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of business-critical IBM i applications, collaborating with clients to deliver modern solutions while ensuring application integrity through rigorous testing.
Key responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with clients to resolve application issues and deliver solutions throughout the project lifecycle
- Architect, develop, and test applications using RPG and SQL, ensuring quality through various testing phases
- Guide a small technical team and conduct code reviews for database and logic changes
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience on the IBM i (iSeries / AS/400) platform with proven problem-solving skills
- Advanced mastery of RPG, particularly RPGLE, including free-form syntax and embedded SQL
- Expert-level DB2 application programming and database design knowledge
- Strong command of modern ILE concepts, including modules and service programs
- Comfort with structured deployment and version control processes
