Job Summary
Leading the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of business-critical IBM i applications, the full-time Senior RPG Programmer/Analyst will work remotely to architect solutions that modernize legacy systems while collaborating with clients to address their business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with clients to resolve application issues and deliver solutions throughout the project lifecycle
- Architect and develop applications using RPG and SQL, ensuring quality through various testing phases
- Guide a small technical team and perform code reviews to maintain application integrity and facilitate modernization efforts
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience on the IBM i (iSeries / AS/400) platform with a strong understanding of business operations
- Advanced mastery of RPG, particularly RPGLE, including free-form syntax and embedded SQL
- Expert-level knowledge of DB2 application programming and database design
- Strong command of modern ILE concepts such as modules and service programs
- Experience with structured deployment and version control processes
