Senior Scientific Data Engineer
Job Summary
Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Senior Scientific Data Engineer will work remotely to design, build, and implement advanced data and AI solutions for biotech and pharmaceutical clients, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a forward deployed engineer for a portfolio of biotech, pharmaceutical, and scientific customers, owning the technical relationship and delivering tailored solutions
- Drive the design and build of bidirectional integrations and comprehensive data schemas for scientific data across various formats and systems
- Deploy and test solutions in diverse environments, troubleshoot issues, and lead Agile sprint commitments to ensure timely project delivery
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience building data products as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, and React
- History of leading customer-facing implementation projects across cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, including regulated environments such as GxP
- Experience with cloud engineering on AWS and knowledge of networking, CI/CD, and full stack development
