Senior Scientist, Cell Therapy

Job Summary

To support innovative cell therapy programs, the full-time salaried Senior Scientist, Cell Therapy will design and execute AAV-mediated gene-editing strategies for pluripotent stem cells, working primarily in a laboratory environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute complex gene-editing strategies for allogenic cell therapy product development
• Lead the evaluation of new gene editing technologies and develop molecular assays for characterization of edited cells
• Oversee data collection and analysis, ensuring scientific rigor and timely communication of results

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. in biology, genome sciences, or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 8+ years, or BS with 12+ years of experience
• Strong technical background in aseptic mammalian cell culture and gene editing of pluripotent stem cells
• Experience in managing a team and building databases
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent record-keeping and ability to write and follow established SOPs
