Senior Scientist, Formulation Development
Job Summary
Leading formulation and process development projects, the remote full-time Senior or Principal Scientist will focus on advancing drug product development and lifecycle management for novel formulations and existing oncology drugs.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead projects for novel and existing formulations throughout the product lifecycle, including pre-formulation and manufacturing scale-up
- Design and execute formulation and process development experiments in collaboration with contract laboratories and CDMOs
- Summarize and present findings to cross-functional teams while serving as a subject matter expert in formulation development
Required qualifications:
- Ph.D/M.S./B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields
- 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development, with specific industry experience preferred based on degree level
- Demonstrated expertise in formulation development for small molecule drugs, particularly sterile dosage forms
- Experience with drug-device combination products and formulation strategies for poorly water-soluble APIs
- Familiarity with physicochemical characterization methods and early-stage formulation development
