Senior Scientist in Mass Spectrometry

Job Summary

To advance cutting-edge research in drug discovery, the full-time Senior Scientist in Mass Spectrometry will apply advanced mass spectrometry technologies, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop innovative screening approaches while working onsite in San Carlos, CA.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and execute mass spectrometry-based studies to support drug discovery and address biological questions
• Develop and optimize mass spectrometry workflows, including proteomics and analytical methods
• Collaborate with scientists across disciplines to generate insights and enhance analytical capabilities

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field with relevant industry or academic experience
• Strong foundation in mass spectrometry with hands-on experience in operating and optimizing LC-MS instrumentation
• Experience in developing mass spectrometry-based analytical and screening workflows
• Demonstrated ability to apply mass spectrometry to biological questions and drug discovery
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of complex mass spectrometry datasets
