Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading cryptographic assessments, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will review and strengthen high-assurance software and cryptographic systems remotely, ensuring security properties are met and providing clients with actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cryptographic assessments by reviewing protocols, libraries, and application code, identifying weaknesses, and recommending fixes
• Analyze advanced cryptographic constructions, including post-quantum schemes and zero-knowledge proof systems
• Build and enhance tools that improve cryptanalysis and implementation review processes across engagements

Required qualifications

• Substantial experience in applied cryptography, evaluating primitives, protocols, and implementations
• Strong mathematical foundation to interpret academic papers and apply security assumptions to practical questions
• Proficiency in at least one systems or security-oriented programming language such as Rust, Go, C, or C++, along with Git-based workflows
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex technical work and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Willingness to learn unfamiliar systems and collaborate closely with colleagues and clients
