Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To monitor and mitigate security incidents across Mozilla's products and services, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will act as an incident commander, design security alerts and workflows, and conduct threat hunting activities while working remotely from Sweden.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and respond to security incidents on a global scale
• Design and maintain a portfolio of security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows
• Conduct threat hunting activities and maintain strategies to combat sophisticated threat actors

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing security incidents in Security Operations Centers (SOC), Product Security Incident Response Teams (PSIRT), or Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT)
• Expertise with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, preferably Splunk
• Hands-on experience with endpoint detection and investigation tools
• Experience with security orchestration and automation (SOAR) platforms
• Practical experience working with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS
