Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive health information, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will design and maintain cybersecurity architecture, implement safeguards for HIPAA compliance, and lead security audits while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Implement necessary safeguards to ensure HIPAA compliance and protect Protected Health Information
• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity architecture using frameworks such as HIPAA Security Rule and NIST
• Analyze and improve the security posture of cloud and corporate systems while leading security audits and assessments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience at a senior engineering level, with potential education substitution
• Experience with Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Current information security certification (CISSP, CSSLP, CCFP, CISM)
• Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, SOC2, and HITrust security controls
