Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support an innovative financial technology project, the remote contract Senior Security Engineer will design and implement security architectures, manage security operations, and oversee cryptography and key management while contributing to enterprise-wide security initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures, standards, and controls across various environments
• Manage vulnerabilities, patching, security monitoring, and continuous security improvements
• Coordinate security incident response and conduct technical investigations and root-cause analysis

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise security across cloud, networks, and applications
• Solid knowledge of cryptography, PKI, key management, and incident response
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
• Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
