Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on embedding security into the development process, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will collaborate with engineering teams on design reviews, build automation for security processes, and enhance platform security in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering on design and architecture reviews, threat modeling, and secure patterns for new services
• Design and build automation to streamline detection, response, and compliance processes
• Review and harden Infrastructure-as-Code across cloud environments while supporting disaster recovery testing

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, particularly with AWS security and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Terragrunt preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS security, including RBAC and network policies
• Experience building tools or automation that address security challenges at scale
• Familiarity with incident investigation and supporting SOC 2 or similar frameworks
• Proficiency in programming with Golang and comfortable collaborating with software engineers
