Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance its Information Security capabilities, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will manage detection and monitoring, lead incident response playbook development, and spearhead threat hunting initiatives in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own detection and monitoring processes, tuning detection content and reducing false positives
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of incident response playbooks for consistent team responses
• Drive automation for alerting and triage workflows to minimize manual effort and response times

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a SOC, incident response, or detection engineering role with demonstrated ownership of an IR program
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, including log ingestion and detection tuning
• Strong understanding of the full incident response lifecycle and digital forensics fundamentals
• Proficiency in scripting or automation for triage and response, preferably using Python
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and common attacker TTPs (MITRE ATT&CK)
