Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare technology company, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure and applications, ensuring the protection of sensitive data while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain security controls across cloud infrastructure, ensuring protection of PHI and PII
• Embed security into the software development lifecycle by partnering with Product and Engineering teams
• Lead incident response efforts and manage vulnerability programs, ensuring effective detection and remediation of security threats

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in information security or security engineering, preferably in healthcare or cloud environments
• Deep hands-on experience securing AWS cloud environments and application security practices
• Experience with identity and access management, endpoint security, and security monitoring tools
• Proficiency in scripting or programming and familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
