Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a hands-on engineering role, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will implement and continuously improve Microsoft security platforms, focusing on Microsoft Defender XDR and other tools to enhance security controls across Azure and Microsoft 365, while working remotely from approved states.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer and implement integrated security controls across Microsoft security platforms to mitigate risks related to identity, endpoint, application, cloud, and data
• Build production-quality security automation using PowerShell and deploy configurations as code through CI/CD pipelines to streamline operations
• Document implementations and provide control evidence for compliance activities, while mentoring engineers through configuration reviews and troubleshooting

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud engineering, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft security platforms in an enterprise environment
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information security, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Microsoft certifications such as SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, or SC-100
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Intune, and infrastructure as code using Bicep or Terraform
