Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Security Engineer - Akamai, the candidate will manage Akamai Web Application Firewall and Bot Manager operations, optimize security policies, and respond to web application security incidents in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the assessment and continuous improvement of Akamai WAF policies to protect against web vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with cloud, application, and security teams to align WAF/BMP configurations with business requirements
- Respond to critical security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing Akamai Web Application Firewall and Bot Manager in enterprise environments
- 5+ years of experience responding to web application security incidents and tuning Bot Manager policies
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with cloud network architectures, particularly AWS
- High School diploma or equivalent
