Senior Sensor Simulation Engineer
Job Summary
Developing and validating realistic sensor models for perception development, the full-time Senior Sensor Simulation Engineer will focus on camera, LiDAR, GNSS, and IMU simulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Implement sensor models, parameters, and environmental effects for autonomous-system testing
- Generate synchronized multimodal outputs and calibrate synthetic outputs against real sensor data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize sensor simulation for scale and performance
Required qualifications
- Strong experience with camera and/or LiDAR simulation for robotics or autonomous systems
- Understanding of sensor physics, calibration, and coordinate transforms
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for engineering and data analysis
- Familiarity with radar, GNSS/IMU, and ROS2 is a plus
- Experience with synthetic data generation and validation metrics
