Job Summary
Proactively improving the reliability of Block's platform, the full-time Senior Site Reliability Engineer will leverage AI-driven tooling and automation to enhance observability, support critical services, and lead incident management while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Build and extend platforms to enhance system reliability across the organization
- Lead incident command and coordinate the stabilization of high-severity incidents
- Standardize reliability tools and drive platform-wide improvements using AI-driven systems
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on backend/platform
- Experience running production oncall for high-availability systems
- Familiarity with AI-driven tooling for observability and incident analysis
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- Strong incident management skills and experience with structured triage and mitigation
