Senior Snowflake Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing data management practice, the remote Senior Snowflake Engineer will focus on advanced Snowflake SQL delivery, implementing data transformations, and ensuring data quality while collaborating with cross-functional teams over a 3-month engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimize Snowflake SQL transformations across various data layers, implementing tables and transformation logic from approved models
• Develop and automate data quality checks, audit logging, and error handling processes to ensure robust data integrity
• Troubleshoot defects and maintain technical documentation while participating in planning and client demonstrations

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering with a strong focus on Snowflake
• Proficiency in advanced Snowflake SQL, including layered transformations and query tuning
• Experience with dimensional modeling, including SCD Type 2 and source-to-target mappings
• Hands-on experience with data quality checks, audit/control logging, and error handling
• Preferred experience in healthcare payer/provider environments or member identity management
