Senior SOC Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior SOC Engineer, this remote position will manage the design and buildout of an agentic SOC, focusing on detection engineering, automation, and security engineering across various domains including vulnerability management and cloud security.

Key responsibilities

• Design the architecture of the agentic SOC and define data flow through the detection and response pipeline
• Build and maintain detection engineering within the internal SIEM environment, treating detection content as code
• Translate SOC operations into automation by identifying workflows suitable for agent augmentation

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in security operations, detection engineering, or security automation
• Expert-level command of at least one detection query language (KQL, SPL, Lucene, Sigma, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with EDR and SIEM platforms in production environments
• Ability to design end-to-end security operations pipelines with a clear understanding of automation integration
• Strong Python coding skills with testing, version control, and code review discipline
