Senior Software Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Developer (Production) will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, manage system outages, and ensure compliance with VA standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for large-scale production systems
- Detect, isolate, and resolve system outages, documenting issues and implementing recovery solutions
- Communicate with users and senior management regarding the status of technical problems and system performance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks
