Senior Software Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Developer (Production) will perform high-level operational support for complex cloud application systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with Veterans Affairs standards and security policies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
- Document and report system issues, ensuring effective communication with users and management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain system asset inventory
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
