Senior Software Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Developer (Production) will perform operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with VA standards and security policies.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-level operational support and maintenance for cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
- Document issues and communicate status updates to users and senior management while implementing continuous improvement methodologies
- Manage system assets and ensure adherence to security measures and compliance with industry standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong experience in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and configuration management
