Leading a remote team, the full-time Senior Software Development Manager will oversee the Computer Backup engineering team, setting technical direction and managing delivery strategy while ensuring collaboration between desktop and backend services.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Computer Backup engineering team, ensuring effective collaboration between Desktop and Backend Leads
- Set long-term technical direction and own the multi-quarter delivery strategy for the Computer Backup product
- Ensure the reliability and performance of the backup client and backend services while championing engineering quality and agile processes
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of engineering management experience, including managing managers or team leads in a cloud or SaaS environment
- Experience in setting technical direction and owning delivery strategy for a growing product
- Deep experience with agile development processes and managing distributed, remote engineering teams
- Strong software engineering background with expertise in system architecture and the full software development lifecycle
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership and major customers
