Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing the Firefox add-ons ecosystem, the remote Senior Software Engineer will deliver major features and architectural improvements, establish engineering standards, and create robust observability systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver major features and architectural improvements across the Add-ons stack, including automated moderation pipelines and Reviewer tools
• Establish and maintain engineering standards related to code review, production readiness, and incident response
• Create observability systems and provide peer feedback to support team growth and knowledge sharing

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Python/Django in building and maintaining production applications
• Experience with CI/CD systems and treating pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Proficient in designing or improving automated testing and deployment workflows
• Strong understanding of observability practices, including metrics, logging, and actionable alerting
• Ability to read and understand unfamiliar codebases and debug complex production issues
