Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the Firefox add-ons ecosystem, the remote Senior Software Engineer will deliver major features and architectural improvements, establish engineering standards, and create robust observability systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver major features and architectural improvements across the Add-ons stack, including automated moderation pipelines and Reviewer tools
• Help establish and maintain engineering standards for code review, production readiness, and incident response
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and community contributors to deliver end-to-end improvements

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Python/Django in production applications
• Experience with CI/CD systems and infrastructure as code
• Strong understanding of observability practices in engineering
• Experience debugging complex production issues and implementing system improvements
• Strong technical writing skills for creating documentation such as design notes and incident reports
