Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of high-performance insurance analytics applications, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable back-end systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain extensible back-end services and web applications focused on architecture, scalability, and reliability
- Participate in technical design discussions and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and alignment with engineering standards
- Collaborate with product, data science, and machine learning partners to develop solutions that meet business needs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of relevant hands-on industry experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years
- Expertise in Python and SQL, along with other scripting languages such as Ruby
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts and hands-on experience with AI tools
- Strong ability to design and implement high-quality back-end code solutions
- Proven adaptability in learning new programming languages and technology stacks
