Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and operate critical systems for service-to-service communication, focusing on infrastructure initiatives such as global traffic load balancing and disaster recovery.
Key responsibilities
- Define and deliver the roadmap for mesh capabilities, including routing, security, and resilience
- Set and track SLOs/SLAs for availability and performance, driving data-informed improvements
- Build and mentor a strong engineering team, establishing engineering excellence and operational rigor
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
- Experience with large-scale networking systems and software, such as Edge proxies, DNS, and CDN
- Strong ownership and experience in building and operating high-scale, distributed systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and across engineering teams
- Experience leading a team that is on-call for production infrastructure
