Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Student Activities team, the remote Senior Software Engineer will architect, design, and develop end-to-end features for a distributed SaaS platform, ensuring high availability and performance for millions of K-12 users.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and develop features across the full stack, from frontend to backend, ensuring system performance and maintainability
- Mentor other engineers and conduct code reviews while promoting strong engineering practices within the team
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to enhance software delivery and participate in on-call rotations for incident resolution
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with web-based applications
- Strong proficiency in full-stack development, particularly with React and TypeScript
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and solid data modeling skills
- Proven experience in mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews
- Ability to thrive in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment
