Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Python-based applications and data pipelines, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable and secure solutions while mentoring other engineers and setting coding standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python services, APIs, and data pipelines across Databricks and Postgres
- Translate business and technical requirements into effective software and AI solutions, including build-versus-buy recommendations
- Lead code reviews and establish engineering standards, documentation, and development best practices for the team
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with substantial hands-on Python development
- Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with modern frameworks such as FastAPI
- Strong SQL skills and production experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query tuning
- Experience with Databricks, including PySpark and Delta Lake
