Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer - Technical Lead to guide core engineering efforts in a remote role, responsible for setting technical direction, leading a small team, and driving agile processes while maintaining hands-on contributions to software development.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, setting technical direction and driving continuous improvement
- Orchestrate agile processes, including daily standups, sprint planning, and team retrospectives to ensure timely delivery
- Architect and maintain databases and cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with healthcare data regulations
Required qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience leading small technical teams with direct responsibility for deliverables
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in backend or full stack engineering, preferably in a startup environment
- Experience with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST) and data formats (e.g., FHIR)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases
