Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers in Ontario, focusing on building and enhancing employer-facing experiences in Talent Matching and Talent Rediscovery using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, while mentoring junior engineers and applying AI techniques to improve search relevance.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and drive product development from conception to launch
- Design and implement search-backed capabilities, including indexing strategies and relevance tuning
- Develop matching systems utilizing AI/ML techniques to enhance match quality and consistency
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience writing production code
- Deep experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing and query design
- Proficiency in Ruby, C#, Java, or Python, with Ruby on Rails preferred
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript, particularly with React
- Experience building search, ranking, recommendation, or matching systems
