Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong Data Engineering background, the remote position will design, build, and maintain scalable data systems and software solutions that enhance educational platforms and analytics initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable data pipelines for educational platforms and analytics products
- Architect and maintain data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and instructional designers to translate educational goals into technical solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; advanced degree is a plus
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in data engineering
- Experience designing and deploying event-driven/streaming data integration solutions at production scale
- Hands-on expertise with Apache Kafka or comparable streaming platforms
- Proficiency in one or more mainstream programming languages: Java, Python, or Golang
