Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To build and operate end-to-end fraud detection systems, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design and implement high-performance backend systems, manage service reliability, and own API features from concept through deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services, focusing on reliability, latency, and cost
- Own SLIs and SLOs for Core API services, balancing shipping velocity against stability using error budgets
- Implement observability tools for metrics, logging, and alerts to ensure system debuggability and performance
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience, particularly in production environments
- Strong expertise in Go, scalable APIs, real-time data processing, and microservices
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases such as DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
