Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To build a consolidated operational dashboard for Vultr's Global Integrated Operations Command Center, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will connect various engineering alerting systems, ensuring critical alerts are efficiently routed and documented while maintaining visibility during the transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Map alert sources from Systems, Network, and Security engineering, integrating them into GIOC's ticketing and paging tools
• Design and build a unified operational dashboard that replaces multiple monitoring tools across various data center platforms
• Document the routing architecture and dashboard for future maintenance by GIOC or the Tools team

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years in Tools/Platform Engineering or a similar infrastructure role, with 3-5 years hands-on experience with monitoring/alerting tools
• Experience consolidating multi-team monitoring and alerting systems, preferably in a cloud or multi-datacenter environment
• 3+ years of experience building integrations against APIs/webhooks with scripting skills in Python or similar
• 2-3 years of experience building or modifying operational dashboards using tools like Grafana or Kibana
• Understanding of ticketing/ITSM workflow tools and their integration with alert priority/severity mapping
